The Hands That Hold You Today - Alexandrea & Brittney
I had gotten to know Brittney for about a year when she inquired about my role as an officiant. From the moment I saw her and Alex together, love simply exuded from them. This love poured from their wide smiles, from their words of comfort, from the ways they spoke about one another. It shined onto me as they leaned into one another. It was proud, it was supportive, it was full of light.
It was a beautiful friendship, yes. But it was much more than that.
Their love teetered between we are in love today and we can already imagine our lives when we're 70. Through them and in talking with the loved ones who know them as a couple, themes imprinted themselves into my mind.
Their love was much more about the now. It was about walking alongside someone for years to come, building a future with one another, holding onto one another for strength, remembering new love as you age.

"I, Brittney, chose you, Alex, to fall in love with every day.
I will trust you and respect you, laugh with you and cry with you.
You are the woman I chose from this day forward.
With you, I have it all."
The couple declared their commitment to one another at the base of a mountain in gorgeous Estes Park. Natural and gorgeous, simply serene, which absolutely suited them. Surrounded by the serenity of was simply breathtaking. But not quite as breathtaking as the way they wiped one another's tears from their cheeks.
"From their first trip here to Estes together they were inspired by the
peacefulness they felt. Hand in hand, and solely connected to one another.
In those moments, they solidified what matters to them as a couple."

Brittney and Alex's family and friends surrounded them with an overwhelming sense of love.
It was easy, it was caring, it was personal. It was a day where each word, each dance, each speech reflected back at them honoring them, true to them and only them. They shared individually written vows with one another that they had written. I guided them through key phrases they could come back to for years to come and those they love stood besides them.
I feel so blessed that I could be part of creating these memories with them.

"Alex, do you promise to take Brittney as your wife from this day forward?
If so, please repeat after me, and declare to her, I forever choose you."
On this day these two chose one another, forever. It's clear by their smiles there is more than a bright future ahead of them. Described as the "perfect fit, just balanced" and "honored to love one another, these two will create their future, no doubts about that. I am honored to be part of your union Brittney and Alex!
